Sports Legends with Bevo – Ep #7 – Sami Kennedy-Sim – Stroke survivor to three-time Winter Olympian!

Freestyle Skier Sami Kennedy-Sim is a true story of inspiration and dedication, after having a stroke in her early 20’s and battling injuries throughout her career, she has still managed to compete for her country at her third Winter Olympics this year and has done her country very proud.

In what turned out to be her final Winter Games, Sami equalled her best Olympic performance, finishing a very credible eighth place in the ski cross event at Beijing.

Sami also had the incredible yet well deserved privilege of being the Aussie team flag bearer at the Closing Ceremony at the Beijing Winter Olympics.

In a Sports Legends with Bevo exclusive we found out from Sami why she decided to retire from World Cup Ski Cross Racing shortly after the Winter Olympics this year, how she has overcome the stroke and injuries and the thrill of being a flag bearer at this year’s Beijing Winter Olympics Closing Ceremony.
