Comedy Legends with Bevo – Ep #8 – Biddy O’Loughlin – Funny Girl Sad Songs!

It has been a rollercoaster career in the entertainment industry for Biddy O’Loughlin since she decided in her early twenties that she needed to go to Ireland to start her comedy career.
The daughter of veteran Australian comedian and mother Fiona O’Loughlin was sick of living in the shadow of her Mum so made the move overseas to chase her comedy dream.
Biddy is continuing to do great things on the comedy circuit and as I found out on my chat with her recently, she is also a talented singer.  O’Loughlin told me that the audience got to experience this during her ‘Funny Girl Sad Songs’ show at this year’s Adelaide Fringe.
After having a daughter, Dolly, in Alice Springs recently, she decided to move back to Adelaide and continue to pursue her comedy dream.  She even brought Dolly along for a special appearance in the interview.
We found out more about Biddy’s comedy journey and what it’s been like living in the shadow of her Mum and the buzz of performing with Fiona earlier this year and she shared a funny moment when someone didn’t realise that Biddy was the daughter of Fiona!
