Comedy Legends with Bevo – Ep #11 – Tom Siegert aka The Suburban Footballer

Tom Siegert burst onto the scene in the mid-2000s as a stand-up comedian where he spent much of his early days on stage performing with some of the best comedians in the business including Dave Hughes, Fiona O’Loughlin and Jimeoin.

His shows are still a hit today and making it even better is the very popular YouTube sensation ‘The Suburban Footballer’; a series of short sketches about the goings-on at a local suburban football club.

Tom has appeared on several television commercials and on big shows like The AFL and NRL Footy Shows, he also released two books ‘The Suburban Footballer’ and the kid book ‘Harry and The Magic Footy Tree’ which he also illustrated.

On my recent chat with Tom on Comedy Legends with Bevo we discussed where he first got the passion for comedy, shit gigs and where the idea for ‘The Suburban Footballer’ came about.
